Send To Dictionary
The dictionary app lives in your notification shade and whenever you copy a word to the clipboard, the word meaning pops up as shown from below. The app also lists synonyms for the word you are looking.
You can also access the app from the notification shade and search any word of your choice. Other method is to select and share a word with send to dictionary (first option). To setup the app you will also need to download color dictionary.

Define is a great floating dictionary which allows you to look up words without internet connection. If the app can’t find a particular word, it will access internet for the correct meaning. Define has beautiful yet simple interface.

Word Lookup
Word Lookup is another floating dictionary which replicates something close to pop up dictionary in safari. All you have to download the app. There is no icon in the notification shade and no floating icon on your screen. You can simply select a word and hit share button. The first option will be Word lookup.
You can tap it to see the required definition. The app is well suited for those who need a quite and totally unobtrusive floating dictionary.

Popup Dictionary
Popup dictionary also loads a persistent search window on your screen which floats atop of every app you open. You can resize the floating window or stretch it to fit entire screen. What primarily differentiates it from other apps is the presence of different language support. A Hindi to English dictionary is also present. You can also translate any piece of text to French, Hindi or any other language.

Floating Dictionary
Floating dictionary provides a quick access bubble and you can choose which apps you wish to see the bubble on. If you don’t like the bubble hanging around at all times, you can select particular browsers and other readers where you wish it to be active.
You can also resize the bubble by dragging it using two fingers. The app works offline too, but after installing the app and selecting apps where it needs to be active, it took another 2 minutes before the bubble was visible.
