The new BlackBerry Evolve and Evolve X smartphones sport a fullscreen display with 18:9 aspect ratio, unlike the recently launched KEY2 that comes with a physical QWERTY keyboard. The Evolve X and Evolve differ in terms of hardware and camera.

BlackBerry Evolve X, Evolve Specifications

Both the Evolve and Evolve X sport a 5.99-inch FHD+ (1080×2160 pixels) full touchscreen displays protected with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection and having an aspect ratio of 18:9. Both the phones run Android 8.1 Oreo and come with security and privacy features like other BlackBerry phones. They feature BlackBerry’s DTEK security app as well.

The BlackBerry Evolve X is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor with 6GB of RAM, while Evolve has Snapdragon 450 with 4GB RAM. Both the phones pack 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. In the camera department, Evolve X sports a dual rear camera with 12MP+13MP sensors. While Evolve has dual cameras too with two 13MP sensors. Both the phones sport a 16MP front camera with fixed focus and selfie flash. The phones also support facial recognition feature which is encrypted. Both the two phones have the back mounted fingerprint sensor, and Evolve X has a circular fingerprint sensor while Evolve has a square one. The smartphones pack a 4,000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.
