HTC U Specifications

HTC’s forthcoming smartphone will be quite a powerhouse in terms of specifications. The handset is going to rock a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) screen with 2.5D curvature. Inside, there will be mighty Snapdragon 835 chipset. The phone will come with at least 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. Android 7.1 Nougat will be loaded out of the box skinned with Sense 9 user interface.

Codenamed as ‘Ocean’, the HTC U’s main selling point shall be the Edge Sense. It is an innovative touch sensor(s) embedded at the edge(s) of the upcoming phone. You will be able to perform various customizable actions using the Edge Sense. Apparently, it seems to be HTC’s reply to Samsung Galaxy S8 /S8+’s bezel-less display. Speaking of the camera department, the HTC U is expected to rock a 12 MP Sony IMX362 sensor at the back along with a 16 MP IMX351 unit on the front. 4K, as well as slow motion video recording, will be supported. The HTC U is presumed to go official this month itself, even though the release date is yet to be announced. The smartphone will not be available for purchase before May 2017. Regarding pricing, we don’t have any idea. However, considering its specifications and HTC’s pricing history, we have a notion that the HTC U will be quite exorbitant.
