Physical Overview
Huawei has completely overhauled the designing of its entry-level smartphone. The Honor Bee 2 looks significantly more premium than its predecessor. The brushed metal finish of the back of the handset is certainly an eye candy. However, coming to the front, the abundance of bezels somewhat spoils the show. Still, the phone is quite handy, thanks to its small display size.
The front of the Honor Bee 2 houses a 4.5-inch (480 x 854) LCD panel. Just above the screen lies the earpiece, selfie camera, and the sensors.
Below the display sits three capacitive buttons.
The power button and the volume rocker keys are placed at the right side of the phone.
A dedicated camera button rests at the left side.
Moving on to the back, the primary camera along with a dual LED flash rests on the top. Below it, you can see the ‘Honor’ branding.
The loudspeakers are present at the rear bottom part of the device.
We can find the 3.5mm headphone jack right at the top.
The micro USB port and the primary microphone are all you can see at the bottom part of the Honor Bee 2.
Display
Huawei’s latest smartphone sports a rather unimpressive 4.5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854) display. While the quality of the screen is quite good, it’s resolution is a somewhat insufficient by today’s standards. Nevertheless, the Honor Bee 2 is perfectly usable and you would not face any issue if you aren’t addicted to large screens.

Gaming performance
The Honor Bee 2 is powered by the quad-core MediaTek Mt6735M chip. With four Cortex A53 cores running at up to 1 GHz mated with a single core Mali T720 GPU, you can’t expect much. Nevertheless, the phone is pretty snappy and runs most of the midrange games without any glitch. High-end gaming is something that you should avoid doing on this handset.

Conclusion
In India, the entry level Android smartphones have the greatest demand. Naturally, competition is severe in this niche. With its asking price of Rs. 7,499 the Honor Bee 2 falls in the category of Xiaomi Redmi 3S, Micromax Unite 4 Pro and other powerful devices. Even the Redmi 4A which costs Rs. 1,500 less puts Huawei’s latest smartphone to shame. Yes, it is true that Xiaomi’s handsets are online-only while the Honor Bee 2 targets offline customers. But still, there are devices like Micromax Unit 4 Pro, Lenovo A6000, Lenovo A7000, LYF Water 10, etc. which have much better specifications than the Honor Bee 2.
