Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head – Mobile, Intex Technologies (I) Ltd. said, “Intex Aqua i4+ is yet another endeavor from Intex to meet the expectations of today’s consumer in terms of design and performance. With its impressive specifications and features, Aqua i4+ promises to be a smart and powerful smartphone capable of providing smooth user-experience.” The 5 inch display sports FWVGA, 854 X 480 pixel resolution which is similar to what rivals like Micromax Canvas Juice and Micromax Canvas Fun A76 are offering at similar price range. The display won’t be as sharp and crisp as a High Definition one, but will be quite usable in terms of pixel density. The processor employed is a 1.2 GHz Dual core processor backed by 512 MB of RAM. The make of the chipset has not been specified. The Intex Aqua i4+ carries standard 4GB of onboard storage which can be further extended to 32 GB using MicroSD card. The primary auto focus 8 MP camera is supported by LED flash for low light photography. A secondary 1.3 MP camera is also present at the front for video calling. The camera specs are above average considering what others are offering in this price range. The phone comes with a 2000 mAh battery which will give 6 hours of talk time and 220 hours of standby time. This implies you have to keep that charger handy for regular charging. Connectivity features include 3G, HSPA+, and Bluetooth 4.0. Intex Aqua i4+ comes preloaded with various popular apps like WeChat, OLX and Matrabhasha. Intex Aqua i4+ will compete with phones like Micromax Canvas Juice which comes with 1 GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery. It will also face stiff competition from quad core phones below 10k mark like Gionee Pioneer P3, Xolo Q700 and Xolo Q1000 Opus. The pricing is also a mystery because its predecessor, Intex Aqua i4 with same spec sheat is selling for Rs. 8,400.
