Camera and Internal Storage

The rear camera is the same 8 MP rear shooter which we saw in Lenovo A6000. It is a decent camera when compared to other 8 MP mid-range smartphones. You can record 720p videos and shoot selfies from the front 2 MP camera. Internal storage has been increased from 8 MP to 16 MP, and there is option for 32 GB MicroSD card expansion too. Apps can be transferred to SD card as well.

Processor and Battery

Lenovo A6000 Plus is running 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad core processor, which is a trendy low cost 64 bit SoC based on Cortex A53 cores. There is no Lollipop yet to take advantage of 64 bit code and ARMv8 architecture, but sources reveal that Lenovo is working on a material design update. RAM capacity has been increased to 2 GB for better multitasking and assurance of durable performance in the long run. For the price tag, it is a very fine chipset. Battery capacity is 2300 mAh, and since the display size and CPU remains same, we expect similar battery performance as on A6000, which is indeed a good thing. You can expect comfortable 1 day backup with mixed usage.

Display and Other Features

The display too remains same with a 5 Inch IPS LCD panel, embellished with 1280 x 720p HD sharpness, compact and good enough for the price. The 5 Inch display is characterized with ample brightness and good viewing angles. Android 4.4 Kitkat has Vibe UI 2.0 skin on top, while other features include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, AGPS, Dual SIM and Dolby digital audio. Lenovo has housed two speakers on the rear side for great audio experience.

Conclusion

Lenovo A6000 was selling like hot cakes and for good reason. For an extra 500 bucks, Lenovo A6000 Plus is an enticing update but some consumers might prefer mightier A7000 INR. We won’t be surprised if stock for A6000 Plus gets gulped down within seconds on April 28, when Lenovo will carry out its pilot sale at 2:00 PM
