Yesterday, Micromax announced the launch of an entry-level smartphone called Micromax Canvas Xpress for Rs 6,999. While the handset is all set to go on sale via Flipkart starting from December 8, the vendor is claimed to be working on a tablet, Canvas Tab P470. It is claimed that the tablet will arrive with all the necessary aspects that should be incorporated in a tablet including a large screen display and voice calling. Interestingly, the Canvas Tab P470 would come preloaded with support for 21 Indian languages.

Talking of specifications, the Micromax Canvas Tab P470 will arrive with a 7 inch display carrying a WSVGA screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels and incorporate a 1.3 GHz dual core MediaTek 8312 processor with 1 GB of RAM. It is also likely that the slate will be fueled by a Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and flaunt a 5 MP primary camera and a VGA front facer for video conferencing. There are claims that the Micromax Canvas Tab P470 would get energized by a 3,200 mAh battery at its back that is likely to pump in 158 hours of standby time, 6 hours video playback and 3.5 hours of browsing time respectively. It is said to bundle 8 GB of native storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 32 GB. Other aspects of the Canvas Tab P470 include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB, GPS and dual SIM functionality for voice calling. Apart from these technical aspects, it is stated that the Micromax slate will feature 28 speakers to double up the experience of listening music or watching movies. The highlight is the exterior design of the Canvas Tab P470 that looks appealing. Moreover, the slate would arrive preinstalled with applications including Safety, M!Games, M!Live, M!Pick, M!Security, M!Insurance, Snapdeal, Truecaller, Where is my Perry, Grow Away, Giga jump and more to enhance the user experience.
