Notably, the vendor delayed the rollout of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its devices due to some glitches in the platform including battery drain, app crashes and others. Google rolled out the Android v5.0.1 Lollipop with the fixes for these issues and it appears like the entry level Moto E is getting the soak tests done for the update.

The soak test for Moto E was first reported by stjsgadgets-portal and following the same, Motorola India started sending invites to Moto E users in the nation. Notably, Motorola employed similar strategy by sending soak test invites to the Moto G and Moto X users in the country as well.

Lately, Motorola had explained the reason why it did not push the Android Lollipop update to its smartphones. It was claimed that a stable version of the update is anticipated and it will be sent to the smartphnes from the vendor.
