After recently unveiling its R7S, Oppo is bustling about the smartphone market again today, by announcing its Neo 7- a sub-INR 10k phone. While availability of the Neo 7 isn’t known yet, we do have details on Oppo’s latest to share with you. The Neo 7 begins with a 5-inch qHD TFT display that houses 960 x 540 pixels. A quad-core Snapdragon 410, coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU are the brains behind the phone. 1 GB of RAM is present to accompany the chipset and the 16 GB on-board storage can be expanded via a microSD card by up to 128 GB.
Oppo has built the Neo 7 with its ColorOS 2.1 skin baked into Android 5.1 Lollipop (similar to the previously announced R7S). An 8 MP-5MP camera duo is present on the front and back respectively. While the rear camera is supported by an LED flash, the front camera is backed by a screen-based flash wherein the screen flashes a colour that is in correspondence to the ambient light so that low-light pictures taken by front-facing camera have better visibility while maintaining natural colours. Further, the Neo 7 is powered by a non-removable 2420 mAh battery and supports dual SIMs – one nano-SIM and the other a micro-SIM. Apart from all the standard set of radios, 4G LTE will be supported by the Neo 7 as well. Lastly, the phone will be available in black and white colours to pick from. Oppo has been creating a stir in the international mobile space, specially zeroing down its efforts in countries of the middle-east and India, among others. We think the Neo 7 makes for an interesting offering in its price range. Lets us know what you think of Oppo’s new phone. [table id=236 /]
