Design, Form Factor and Display
The Design is quite similar to Find 7a but this one has been carved from an Aluminum Chassis instead of plastic. The rear is Textured Carbon fiber back which does look quite impressive but feels like good quality plastic. The build is quite sturdy and you can appreciate the precision involved even at first look.
The 5.5 inch Quad HD display sourced from JDI is extremely sharp and vibrant. Color reproduction and Contrasts are excellent as well. Below the display you will find the beautiful skyline LED notification which gives a blue glow when blinking. The display is among the best IPS LCD displays that we have come across.
Processor and RAM
Oppo has employed the best in business Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz. It’s the same processor that is present in HTC One M8, LG G3 and International variant of Galaxy S5. Needless to say, its more than capable of handling whatever you expect to throw at it. The chipset is backed by 3 GB RAM which will again suffice for all your multi tasking needs. The chipset is slightly better than what is employed in Find 7a, but both will provide with appreciable performance
Camera and Internal Storage
The camera used is same one as present in Find 7a, with 13 MP Sony Exmor IMX214 BSI 1/3.06″ CMOS sensor which is also what OnePlus One opted for their “Never Settle” smartphone. In our initial time with the device, the camera performance was quite impressive but it was slightly inconsistent. We will comment more on that after our full review. The rear shooter can record 4K videos at 30fps.
The internal storage is 32 GB and can be further extended to 128 GB using MicroSD card support. This is ample storage space and will suffice for everyone out there.
User Interface and Battery
Oppo has missed out on Android Kitkat at least for now and is offering Android 4.3 Jelly bean customized with Color OS for now. The highlight of the software remains the extensive gesture support. You can define your own gestures and even launch apps directly from the lock screen. Oppo has provided with heavy customization inside to enhance your Android experience which we will test in our full review.
The Battery capacity is 3000 mAh. We are not certain how long that will hold with all those extra pixels rendered on the display but we know that with VOOC technology used which according to Oppo will charge your device 4 times faster. You can get 75 percent charge within 30 minutes and the phone will charge within slightly more than an hour!

Conclusion
Oppo Find 7 is an impressively build smartphone loaded with top end hardware capable of competing with the flagship phones of tier one brands in India. There won’t be much difference in terms of day to day performance when compared to Find 7a. Perhaps with more extensive usage the Quad HD resolution on Find 7 will seem sharper than best full HD screens out there. Oppo Find 7 will be available for purchase across 10 major cities in India starting from July 2014 for 37,990 INR.
