Panasonic P81 Camera Features and Details

Rear camera is equipped with a 13 MP sensor with wide f2.2 aperture and 28 mm wide angle lens. LED flash is also present to aid low light photography. For those interested in video chatting a 2 MP average shooter is housed at the front.

The rear camera settings include Normal Capture, HDR, Panorama and GIF. Rear camera unit also supports 1080p full HD video recording. Take a look at some camera samples below.

Panasonic P81 Camera Samples

As you can observe, the low light snap looks pretty good with good colors and comparatively less noise. The one taken below in a mix of natural and artificial light looks faded . The details are still decent enough.

Another shot from outside the window shows sufficient noise. Colors look natural in day light.

Panasonic P81 Camera Comparison and Conclusion

Compared to the 13 MP shooters that we saw in MT6589 series handsets, Panasonic P81 is tad bit better. It excels recently launched intex Aqua i5 HD with great margin. However, the average camera performance falls short of Micromax Canvas Knight in our initial review. The camera gave us some  pretty good shots and low light performance was also pretty decent. It didn’t handle the sun very efficiently. The rear camera video samples aren’t as crisp and detail rich as we expected. We will have to test it more extensively under different lighting conditions to give our final judgment.
