With the same hardware, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro is already in the market to give a tough competition to the Galaxy M40. Let’s see how Samsung’s new mid-range phone fairs against Xiaomi’s mid-range star.
Galaxy M40 Vs Redmi Note 7 Pro
Design
Starting with the design, the Samsung Galaxy M40 comes with a polycarbonate back panel. It has a similar design to the previous Galaxy M30 but doesn’t have that two-tone finish, instead, it comes with a more glossy look at the back.
Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, looks more premium as it comes with a glass back. There is Gorilla Glass 5 back panel which also offers gradient effect. So, Redmi Note 7 Pro can be a winner here, but then again glass back also has its drawbacks. Coming to the front, the Galaxy M40 comes with a completely new design in the segment. It has the punch-hole display just like the flagship S10 series. Redmi Note 7 Pro has the old dot notch design at the front.
Display
Both Redmi Note 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M40 sport a 6.30-inch full-HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080x2340pixels. They come with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and offer much screen to body ratio. Though Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a waterdrop-style notch and Galaxy M40 comes with a punch-hole display. The former’s display has Gorilla Glass 5 protection while Galaxy M40 has Gorilla Glass 3.
