Android 7.0 Nougat Changelog for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge
The Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge had been pending for a long time. Samsung’s last year’s flagship – the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have already got it a few months ago. Even the older Galaxy Note 5 started to receive the Nougat update some days ago.
The brand new firmware will overhaul the user interface of your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. It also improves the usability of the notification menu and the quick settings button. The multi-window mode is better now with native support from the Android Nougat. The latest update brings storage management enhancements to Samsung’s old flagships. This means downloaded application will now be stored more efficiently. System upgrade speed and app installation timing have received major improvements. The overall system performance is upgraded too. Similar to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, you will get a new blue light filter as well as a high-performance mode on your S6 or S6 Edge. Apart from all these, the brand new update also includes the March 2017 Android Security Patch.
