Other preloaded stuff includes S Health app and Nike+ Running software which confirms Gear S as a fitness oriented device. This one too is IP67 dust and water resistance certified. A 300 mAh battery will be used to power the device, which according to Samsung, should last for 2 days of mixed usage; where as the list of sensors include accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, compass, and monitors for heart rate, UV, and ambient light.
Samsung will also bundle a Gear Circle Bluetooth headset with the smartwatch which lets you receive calls and notifications or listen to music wirelessly. Gear S isn’t the first watch with a SIM card Slot we have come across (remember Spice Smart Pulse), but the feature was definitely unexpected in a Tier 1 branded smartwatch.
