While the company’s latest flagship, the Mi 6 also sports a dual camera setup, Xiaomi may not launch it in India anytime soon. The Xiaomi Mi 5X was launched in China on July 26. In China, the device has been priced at CNY 1,499 which roughly translates to Rs. 14,200. It May be priced around 15,000 in India. “Can’t wait for you guys to check out Xiaomi’s first dual-camera phone in India. Coming next month,” Manu Kumar Jain posted on Twitter.
Xiaomi Mi 5X Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi 5X runs the latest version of company’s optimized skin MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The device features a 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The phone is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. It will be coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB. If we talk about the camera, which is another major highlight of the phone, it features a dual camera setup at the rear. Both the cameras are of 12MP and one of the camera lenses will be telephoto whereas the other will be a wide-angle lens. Other features include autofocus, optical zoom, dual-LED (dual tone) flash and Portrait mode with SLR style background blur. There is a 16MP front camera for selfies. Connectivity options include, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, A2DP, LE, GPS with A-GPS. Apart from the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, it also features an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The battery housed in Mi 5X is 3,080mAh. The phone supports USB Type-C for charging and data syncing.
