The Redmi 5 sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 282ppi pixel density/ The dual-SIM (Nano) phone run MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat 7.1. Dimension wise the phone measures 151.8×72.8×7.7mm and weighs 157 grams.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC clocked at 1.8 GHz and paired with Adreno 506 GPU. Further, memory wise, it is coupled with 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage respectively, with support for microSD cards up to 128GB. The Redmi 5 price in India starts at Rs 7,999 for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant, while the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model is priced at Rs 8,999 and lastly, the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage model is priced at Rs 10,999.
