The Xiaomi Redmi 5 price in India starts at Rs. 7,999 for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant. The 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 8,999. Lastly, the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model costs Rs. 10,999. The smartphone is now available in all four colors – Gold, Black, Rose Gold, and Blue.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The dual-SIM phone runs MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat 7.1. It is powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU. Memory wise, it is coupled with 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage with support for microSD cards up to 128GB.
In the camera department, the Redmi 5 comes with a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash. Up front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with a soft-selfie light flash.
